Offices

Do you only place Hygienists or can we request other Professionals?

Feel free to request Dentists, Hygienists, Assistants, Front Desk staff, etc. If you need a Dental Professional, we’re the agency for you.

Are your fees negotiable?

We do our best to keep our fees so low there won’t be a need for negotiation. Once you hire a Professional, our fees are unchanging. You never have to worry about an increased fee even if the Professional you hired increases hours or salary.

If I paid for temps through Hygiene Staffing in the past, can that apply to a permanent hire?

Permanent fees and temporary placement fees are completely separate and never combined.

Do you set the hourly rate for the Professional?

We do not set the hourly rate. Each Practice will inform us of how much they are willing to pay, and we do our best to work within that range.

Do we pay the Professional directly? If so, when, and how do we pay them?

Yes, each Practice is considered the Employer, and as such, is responsible for paying the Professional directly. The preferred method of payment is via check at the end of the day. Payment method is confirmed prior to confirming the Professional for each work day.

May I contact a Professional directly after the agency introduces them to us?

We kindly ask that all communication go through Hygiene Staffing. This includes scheduling future temporary and permanent assignments with any Professional referred by Hygiene Staffing. This allows all parties involved to have the best experience possible and promotes honesty.

Would it be appropriate to solicit a Professional on a temporary assignment for referrals or refer them to a colleagues Practice?

We ask that Practices do not solicit Professionals for any friends or coworkers’ information to fill assignments or refer them to any other Practice. This puts the referred Professional in an uncomfortable position. This could also jeopardize the sustainability of the agency.

Do you interview your Professionals?

We do screen all Professionals we work with, as well as collect references and review resumes.

Can I call at any time?

Feel free to contact us as soon as you realize your need. We are ready to help 24/7.

Can I set up a card on file?

Absolutely. This makes it easy for invoices to be paid without delay so that we can continue providing you service. We never charge a card without the Practices consent.
Professionals

Which Professionals do you work with?

We welcome ALL Professionals.

To receive work alerts, do Professionals have to pay?

Absolutely not. There is no cost associated with receiving work alerts or accepting work. All we ask is that you refer us to awesome Practices and Professionals like yourself!

How will I be alerted when an assignment becomes available?

All work alerts are communicated via SMS. If you have specific dates or locations you prefer, simply message us and we will update your profile in our system.

Who pays me after I complete an assignment?

The Dental Professional is always paid by the Employer, the Dental Practice.

If I respond first to the available assignment, do I get the job?

Not necessarily. That is ideal, but each Practice has their own set of qualifications. Please know, we will do our absolute best to place you at every assignment you apply for.

What if my pay is incorrect?

We encourage each Professional to look over their check prior to leaving the Practice. If there is an error, contact the agency immediately. We will contact the Practice to settle the issue. It is most beneficial to do this while you are on site.

Can I refer my friend to a Practice the agency referred me to?

We kindly ask that if you have a friend or colleague interested in work, please have them contact the agency. Once you are introduced to a Practice, you are there as part of the Hygiene Staffing team and therefore all referrals should come through the agency for that specific Practice.

Does the Practice provide me with PPE?

All Practices provide you with necessary PPE. We confirm that the standards are upheld before sending you to an assignment.

I am a New Grad! Can I work through the agency?

Definitely! We love New Grads and promote you to Practices we work with.

I have not received my license yet. How can I work for a Dental Practice?

Some Professionals choose to temp as an Assistant or Front Desk while waiting for their license. Other Professionals use a temporary permit sponsored by a Dentist to work permanently.
